Community Mural

Designed by artist Linzi Carter and created in collaboration with the local Year 6 students from Two Rocks Primary School, our vibrant mural celebrates the unique coastal identity of Two Rocks and the greater Yanchep region in Western Australia.

Inspired by the area’s rich aquatic and fisheries environment, the artwork reflects both the beauty of the ocean landscape and the significance of the local marine industry. Carefully illustrated throughout the design are treasured marine forms found along our coastline — cone shells, abalone shells, turban shells, cowrie shells, the striking eleven-armed sea star, and the iconic Western Australian Rock Lobster — each symbolising the abundance and diversity of life beneath the waves.

The colour palette draws from coastal hues, blending soft ocean blues with luminous pops of aqua to evoke clarity, depth and movement. Flowing white linework moves rhythmically across the mural, suggestive of shifting tides and ocean currents, connecting each element in a unified visual story.

More than a celebration of marine life, this mural represents collaboration, creativity and community — honouring the next generation of local artists while paying tribute to the sea that shapes and sustains Two Rocks.
